Default Sprayed first 100 shot today. Not impressed :(

So I went and got my bottle filled today and did probably 5-6 pulls on nitrous from 50-110ish and I just wasn't that impressed... Didn't feel that much faster. Two problems I thought about afterwords is that I forgot to pull timing! And my bottle pressure was only 875psi. What you guys think>?

timing makes a huge difference and bottle pressure is a necessity why was the pressure so low after getting it filled go get it refilled and ask to see the weight and also try using the sun to heat the bottle a little bit what plugs are you running and how are you pulling timing and are you wet or dry lol what kit also zex n.o.s nitrous outlet nitrous express also i have found that some jet sizings from manuf are really conservative on the nitrous solenoid jets

your bottle pressure is too low you want it to be around 950 plus i tryed 100 shot no tune on my car while back and i could tell a big difference pulled alot harder and was faster

Make sure it is spraying.. you should def feel a 100 shot with or without timing pulled....

check your activation switch etc...

Ok so not having my timing pulled will make it not as fast? I thought it was just to make it more reliable. I didn't realize it would actually run faster with timing pulled on nitrous. Also on the bottle pressure I think it's cuz I just wasn't being patient enuf and waiting for my heater to get the presure all the way up. Btw I have the lingenfelter timing box to pull timing I just got to excited and completely forgot to set my timing.....

I could feel it. Just not nearly what I thought it would be.... I know for sure it's spraying just like it should. I'm thinking with the combo of not having timing pulled and bottle presure being to low that is why it didn't feel that fast.

Start over... fix one issue at the time....
1. make sure you are getting FULL activation (timing or not a 100rwhp shot pulls hard)
2. make sure your bottle pressure is at 950
3. make sure you have the correct plugs gapped correctly

Even if you think all these things are correct, check them again. Heck when i rewired my nitrous the last time I stuck the 50shot pills in there just to make sure everything was working properly. With only 2 degrees pulled it felt dang strong even on a 50 shot.

100shot is equivalent from the difference between a stock car and a car with budget heads and small cam with GOBS of torque.

You should feel that a ton.

I agree! Check it all and make sure like said above... you should be pretty impressed with a 100 shot... if it feels so so then something isnt hitting right...

1. What do you mean by full activation? Make sure it's not cutting out?

2. I will make sure my pressure is at 950 for the next time and pull timing

3. I checked them like 5 times when putting them in. All gapped at .032 and they are br7efs. Car runs great not on nitrous so it's not that.

I will play with it more tommarow. It feels faster just not like I thought it would. I might even take a before and after vid tommarow or something....

What I really need to do is find a car that is a close race to me on motor and than spray and see what happens...

I prefer 975-1000psi personally. It is insane how big a difference 100psi of bottle pressure will make. I gained 100rwhp/150rwtq on 100 shot. If your not impressed with that feeling imagine if you would have spent 4k on a heads/cam setup!

Honestly I think I was expecting a little more. I made a vid and after comparing to a vid before it pulls much harder now. I just think there is alot more left in it retarding the timing a bit and getting my bottle pressure past 875... I will play with it tommarow and report back. I'm thinking with my bottle presure and timing being off I was only spraying like a 50-75 shot tops. One thing is when it got passed 115 it started pulling much much harder. I know it's faster, but I think it should feel faster than what it does.

Would rapping a blanket or something around it help it get warm with the bottle heater?

ive sprayed my last 2 cars and trust me a properly tuned and good a/f will yield very good gains and definitly will feel 100 shot. Also if your dry the orientation of the nozzle on your lid makes a huge difference as well as how close or far you are to the MAF. If your wet then its different ofcourse since you dont use the MAF. The tune will make a big difference since the only reason why you introduce nitrous to the motor is to be able to use more fuel its not just pulling timing. Yes nitrous is colder denser air more oxygen and has its factors but the end result is to use more fuel with the correct a/f ratio to get that power you want to achieve. Ive sprayed on 875psi even though its best to spray between 900-950 you should still feel it easily with the 100 shot jetting even though its not the full effect with the lower bottle pressure. Im definitly not a nitrous expert and there are people here that know hell of alot more then me.

They do make blankets for your bottle to trap the heat in. Nitrous Outlet has them for like 50 bucks.

Are you using any way to monitor the A/F ratio?

I don't know if this could happen but maybe your nitrous jet got clogged and your not getting enough nitrous?

Im sayign 90% of the problem is the pressure, the other 10% is your a/f being off. If its a wet kti i doubt your fuel jet is spot on. Mine was way off the suggested jetting on the fuel side.

A data log would tell you what the timing is doing.. For all known now, the knock sensors may be pulling timing.....

The low pressure makes a huge difference if the tune up is set up for 1000 psi.
If yours is set up for 900, then 875 will not make a huge difference.
I'm set up for 950, and have made pass' at 900 and didn't lose that much, and on my stuff it's pretty picky.

If you didn't pull timing, you did not lose power, you made more heat, not less.
I also don't understand why someone would say that??
The reason we pull timing is not to make power, it's to keep from melting down.

For the record, bottle pressure does not make more power, the combination makes power,
and I actually have been thinking of going back to 900 PSI.

Oh yea, remember what the % of power gained is. As mentioned, you will definitely feel a 100 shot.
Now a max effort car might not, but a 300-400 car will feel even a crappy tune up, if the system is functioning properly.
