I was just curious, I've been following your posts concerning your switch over from the Turbo to the Direct Port nitrous. Your car made a ton of power with boost, what made you decide to ditch the turbos and go with the laughing gas <img src="graemlins/gr_jest.gif" border="0" alt="[jester]" /> ?

Onw word....TUNING! Could never seem to get it right. Got tired of mailing my computer back and forth. N2O is easy to tune for. Set up the car NA and you are more or less done. With direct port, each cylinder is getting the same mix and there is little guess work. With a dry or wet nozzle kit, the mixture can vary for each cylinder depending on manifold design and distribution. This can lend to lean or rich conditions from one cylinder to the next. The direct port alleviates the guess work.

I haven't purchesed one yet, but I'm looking at ther NX kit that MuscleCarTechnologies carries. Check out their web site (below) and look in the products section under nitrous.

Wow, that NX kit is sharp! I was thinking of going Direct Port but didn't have the $$, so I went with the TNT F2 Kit <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0"> I'm having a forged internal stock ci. block built to withstand the heavy dosages of spray. I plan spending most of the time with the 150-200 shots.

Did you look at TNT's Direct Port? How much spray do you plan running?

I saw the pic of the TNT setup on their site, but there isn't any info about it there. Right now, I'm leaning toward the NX kit, but just waiting for $$$ before I do anything.

Nick at ARE said my motor should withstand 250 shots with no problem. Forged 9:1 pistons, Lunati Rods, Stock crank.
