Default Gauge Broke! Why?

I just got back from a snake killing run and opened the trunk to turn the heater off and close the bottle and noticed a fluid on the mounting board. Well, once I looked at it closer I noticed the gauge was only reading 600 psi which I knew was incorrect because...well ya know what kind of boost ya get @ that level...nada. I have the NOS 5177 w/ a glycerin gauge and realized the slimmy fluid was the glycerin drained out of the gauge. Has anybody had experience with this? What would cause this? I did nothing different than normal. I purchased the system about 4 months ago so would NOS warrant this? Thanks for any input or suggestions. BTW, does NOS have a web site...what is it?

Sounds like the seal was bad. Given that it's only a few months old they should take care of it for you; their customer service is pretty good. If you don't make any headway with them, let me know and I may be able to help you out.

BTW, go here for their web site.

Thanks for the info on their site! I went back to my installer today and he had another gauge and just replaced it. He is going to take care of the return. There is a rubber "stopper" on the back of the gauge and came out, which released the glycerin. He had never seen that happen before.
Thanks again for the input,
