Can I use more juice at a high elevation?

Can I use more juice at a high elevation? I live in Salt Lake City where the elevation (almost 5k) makes us lose about 60 HP and almost a full second in the 1/4.
Can I run a 185 shot and have it only tax my fuel system and motor like a 125 shot?
