Default Selling my current converter, what would be a good range to get for NOS?

I am selling my current TH400 converter in the classifieds section...its way to high for spray, especially off the line or off the brake...I think I am going to look into something with the range of 3500-4000...

Any suggestions?

Well, I just put in my 4000 stall. I haven't sprayed it yet, but I'll let you know how it works out....

How much spray? you can call TCI and give them the na hp how much spray the weight of the car and the gear ratio in the rear and they can figure out the right stall> you will also need the cam info. We put a 7" in a dragster small block 358 cubes gave them the info and they gave us a converter thet flashed to 7200 on the brake! In a 1400# car it left like a bat out of hell. 109 in 60 ft 7.90 175mph. that motor shifts at 9500rpms.

Holy ****..

I think I am going to be looking at the P.I. converters...

The cheapest one I can get is like $599...so it looks like I got to put the funds that I was going to use for the extra NOS parts towards installing a new verter, hopefully someone buys my current converter...

I have a PI 3200 and am thinking about a SY 3400 for my future 200-250 shot. I might be selling my PI 3200. I'll let you know in case your interested. I have only had the 3200 for about 6 months and put about 2,250 miles on it.

An LS1 converter won't fit a TH400 unless the TH400 has had an input shaft change. The depth from the pump to the flexplate is different too. Best bet is to get a dedicated nitrous converter. A Pro Yank 3400 extreme is best for a 200 shot or bigger and a Pro Yank 3600 extreme is better for a 150-200 shot. If you run below a 150 shot, a regular Yank Super Thruster 3500 or Vig 3200 will work fine. If your TH400 does not have a lockup clutch, then you can save a lot of money by ordering a converter without it.

Bos,

Try calling Yank. Mike's too busy to respond to e-mails in a timely manner, but he'll give you plenty of time on the phone. 501-632-6355.

Patrick
