Default Vic Junior intake users. Have a couple questions about spray.

I know that typically on a LS style intake the number 7 and number 8 cylinders tend to run a little hotter. Does this change with a Vic Junior intake? Do the cylinders with the longer runners run hotter? Anything I should be aware of before I spray it?

Normally the longer runners don't have a huge affect on the cylinder to cylinder temps but what really causes the rear ones to get hot is poos coolant circulation. Most people to fix that make there own crossover tubes to go to all 4 locations on the heads to help coolant flow.

The other thing that increases the chance for #7 failure is poor fuel supply which if you run a after market rail setup you will be able to get away from that as well.

The Vic Jr intakes seem to work very well with nitrous on the LS platform.

As Trey said the 7 & 8 have issue with getting water vapor trapped due to the water plugs.
Kurt Urban Performance makes a really nice kit with black anodized manifold & fittings. They ship quickly for me in the past too.

I have used just the stock ls1 coolant crossover and it works just as well. Kurt's has better flow I'm sure. But we have had 1200 HP cars w no issues

I did my own coolant cross over from all 4 corners.

Using a L92 Vic Jr and it seems to be pretty even by the plugs even with a plate kit

No i don't sorry. It would be a soft braided line system that would bring them all together at the passenger side of the motor at a distribution block.

It's not true for all cars but on some that are equipped with the Vic Jr the Cyl to Cyl distribution is random and in some applications the shorter runners can be the hot ones and on others the long runners are the hot ones. I know it can be a pain but on the first initial hit i'd take a complete new set of plugs and pull every plug so you can see what it's doing on a whole and find out what Cyl's on your application are the hot ones...

It can definitely make you step back and go " Huh??? "

I remember back in the day when we first started messing with the Vic jr stuff and had to re-think about some things.
