Nos mini 2 RPM input ?

Nos mini 2 RPM input ? Hi Guys I have done a search but can't find what i'm after.
I have hooked up my No1 coil signal on terminal C ( purple wire ) to the green RPM input wire on my nos mini progressive stage 2 controller. Now i have tried setting the rpm input to C.0.0, C.0.1 and C.0.2 and still can't get any input of RPM into the controller. Car is an Australian VZ SS 5.7 LS1 with fly by wire.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
