Default Connecting multiple bottles

How can you connect more then one bottle together? If I want to run 3 1lb bottles how would I do that?

i had two 10lb bottles mounted together. there is a y-fitting that TNT makes, and that's what i used. you would need two of them. but i never used both bottles open at the same time. i think that is bad because of too much pressure from two bottles at 1000psi possibly?

The pressure would not increase if you opened the second bottle, but you might as well only open one at a time that way you can empty one out first.

Isn't a 1lb. bottle kinda small? Stealth install maybe?

Slart is right about the bottle pressure, 1000psi is 1000psi if one or 10 bottles is open. With a 1lb. bottle I think keeping all 3 open would keep the pressure more consistent during the run.

Probably the best way would be to run all of them to some sort of distribution block and then come off of that with your N2O line to the motor. I've never used nitrous so I don't know if something like this is made or not. Try calling one of the big N2O companies and seeing if they have a dist. block.

Good luck..."Sneeky Pete"

i always thought the reason for 2 bottles was for a more even presure thru the run, more consistant times, so they would open both bottles.

It doesnt matter how many bottles you have its more about total volume of the bottle or bottles that are open that will determine how consistant of a hit youll get. 3 one lb bottle will not deliver a full hit through the 1/4 even if they are all open at once. The pressure drop would be too great. If you started at 1000psi with 3 lbs in the bottles and used 1 1/2 lbs during a run(small shot) you would be around 500 psi at the end of the run. It definatley would be worth something...but not near the same as a full size bottle.
