I bought a used TNT wet kit and it doesn't fit my 2000 SS. The purple piece that goes around the throttle body sticks out too far. In order to get the maf into the purple piece you have to sit it in there at a 45 degree angle. I thought I would have a little bit of room to put the bellows between the two. It came off of a 97 vette. Are there two different kits, or maybe an earlier kit you could have bought? I have never heard anything about this problem before. I was looking at it and it seems like you could shave a little of the lip off of the maf end and the purple piece. Should I go ahead and do this or just buy the right piece if there are two different wet kits?

The two kits use the same power-ring, it's just twisted to clear the ps pump resivour on the c5. You have to trim a little off the lid in order for it to fit.
