Default Bottle Heater Question

I was suppose to get my car this weekend but beacuse of a issue witha$5.00 part i had to wait... GRrrrrr

Here is my question(s) I have a NX setup and two bottles, I do have a NX bottle heater, how long does it normally take to get to pressure? I thought I needed 1100 but found out thats not the case, I also have a spare bottle, and wondered what people do about heating it if it is not in the car, (let Pretend I am not at the track so I wont have a rig or pit). One of the bottles has been painted or wrapped, so torching is out, plus the guys I have talked to say DON'T put a torch to your bottle. True? Input please gentleman.

Do you guys leave the heater on while waiting for runs, or will the auto-temp feature work like it is suppose to and keep the bottle at pressure?

Sorry, Newbie

900-1000 is fine. The amount of time not will take to get the bottle up to pressure will depend on the current temp of the bottle, the outside temp, and how full the bottle is. You will get the feel for it. Take it for what it is but I have always used torches on my bottles and I have tried heaters. The important thing if using a torch is not to stay in one spot and to stir the bottle and watch the gauge. If the pressure setting is correct on the auto temp it will work fine but don't leave it on without the car running or you will have a dead battery.

you should be able to leave the heater on while waiting to run. I would still keep an eye on the pressure to make sure that it doesn't get to high.

I would not torch a bottle. The reason being is that it flash heats the metal. Over time this can cause fractures in the bottle that can ultimately lead to bottle failure. This can especially happen if the heat is localized on a central part on the bottle for to long.

Thank you both, i am running a simple street car, and will take all the advice since im still new, I have many friends that have Juice but I have not. I dont want to torch due to both bottles being painted. I have a elec. inside gauge so i'll be able to watch the pressure, again Thanks.

Also, I will have both bottles in the car, I have one hidden and a spare on the deck as show, (it will be full of course ) I hope not to have to remove the bottles and leave them to the side so i am hoping they will stay a decent temp inside the car.
