I know everyone says not to spray under 3000 rpm. I'm only shooting a100 shot. Would it be bad to lower my rpm switch to 2800? It would really only be in 1st since every other shift I'd well above 4000 rpm.

 

For a bolt-on setup, bringing a 100 shot in at 2800 is perfectly safe.

 

Should be fine. Not sure there is much to be gained though.

 

Why would you want to spray that low. My kit doesn't come on until 4. Lower rpms =more Tq. Torque breaks things.

 

Simple; to make ET. Stock LT1's will tolerate a 150 shot coming in at 2800 forever, as long as the tune is right.
If you're not running slicks, just going for a dyno number, or playing on the street with it, then sure, delay it.

 

I spray 3000-6500 and shift at 6700. Bringing it in 200 rpm sooner should be fine.

 

Yeah I just want to bring it in a little quicker to help with et. It's a great running LS1 with a good tune on it. I don't spray it on the street. Hell it spins to 70 mph without spraying on the street.
