Big Thanks to Nitrous outlet & Brian Black
I've been building my car around nitrous for the last couple years. I had some ignition issues stop me from spraying it last year and finally got around to it today.
The kit is a Nitrous outlet lt1 plate kit with a dedicated fuel system. I only had 100 shot jets in it. This thing hits hard guys thanks for an awesome system!
I worked on the car N/A to shake it down for its first 1/4 passes in a couple years.
NA with a nitrous tune it went:
1.57 60ft
4.566 330
7.14@94.7 1/8th
11.25@119.3
I came in tightened down the front shocked a couple clicks, added some air to the rear tires to get it ready for nitrous:
This is what I got in return:
I was caught of guard and feathered the throttle a bit much and did some pretty ugly damage to the headers, lower radiator support and scuffed the back bumper this time slip wasnt pretty
1.49 60ft
4.42 330
6.85@100.87mph
11.367@93.5mph
I just did an 1/8th pull.
After putting it on the bumper I talked to Brian Black to get pointed in the right direction he said to tighten the front shocks all the way and it came out with a small 12" lift and a nice straight leaving car. The nitrous bottle started to go empty the next couple passes. I went to the track not planning on spraying.
Time slip:
1.39 60ft
4.19 330
6.62@100.86mph
10.52@124.9mph
My wideband was reading 10.3-10.8 this pass. Since I didn't have any jets Brian was awesome and loaned me one to lean it out.
LAST PASS
Changed fuel jets left the suspension alone:
1.43 60ft
4.25 330
6.71@99.9mph
10.65@125.47
The bottle was going empty on that pass but AFR on the wide band read 11.3 so its a step in the right direction
I had a blast I now have a water drip and am hoping it didnt crack the radiator after the blow everything took. So for next year SYA bars and Double adjustable struts are on the shopping list
Thank you both NO for the tech support, and Brian for being awesome with the advice and parts when you were dialing in your own moster!
