I'm liking the 5177 NOS kit. I will run a small shot, just a 75 or 100 at the most. I will not spray off the line, just at the top off first through 3rd. I have a big Yank 4200, hopefully it will be ok, also a 112 LSA T1 Cam.
I have the T1 w/Macs now with cats and bolt-ons. With 6250 RPM shift points, do I need to upgrade my fuel system? Will the basic 5177 w/ bottle heater, purge, and window switch be ok for me? Right now I think I am making about 355 at the tires, with a 75 NOS shot I should be around 405.

Converter is alittle too big.
But hitting the N20 later in the run say top of 1st or right after the one/two shift would work well IMO.
I would say u should at least add an inline pump and a set of 98 injectors.Along with a retune of the PCM...
I bet your car would run very LOW 11's maybe even a high 10 if u could hook it kenny.

Joel,
I have a '98, stock fuel system....Should I replace anything just because its a 70,000 mile car? I will not spray out of the hole, I'm just hoping for a few more MPH, not really going after incredible ET....yet....
If I spray at say 45 MPH right after the 1-2 shift, would that be safer? I would think my rear would love me for it, it would still pack on 4-5 MPH with a 75 shot?

I forgot u have a 98 car...
Then all I would do is a inline pump just to be safe....There cheap insurance at about 120 bucks...
I bet the car would run VERY well hitting the squeeze right after 1st gear...Easy 3 to 5 tenth improvement with a 75 shot...
Hmmm???
If u run say 11.70 in the fall on a easy launch and then hit the button...I think you'd have a smile on your face,And a 11.30 slip too <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Re: 75 shot, NOS 5177 on a T1 Cammed A4, upgrade fuel system?
I have a M6 on a 99 SS with a TR224/114 cam and run the 5177 on 75/100 shot. I also run a MSD switch set for 3800-6400 rpm window, which loses some low end high hp/tq (but safer for the drivetrain). I am playing around with the MAFT right now trying to optimize NA/nitrous settings. In a word...no. You DO NOT need to upgrade your fuel system. I am running at 2% lean setting at WOT on nitrous, which leaves a bunch of fuel for more nitrous (don't need it). I am very happy and feel extremely safe with this set-up. BTW, go ahead and get the NX opener and heater. They are the best for system performance....no surging or worry about pressure. I do have a pretty open intake and exhaust which, obviously, helps with my setup.
For your piece of mind though get a MAFT/ATap to see where your numbers are and simply determine if your fuel system stays up with your settings.
Hope this helps and good hunting.... <img border="0" alt="[Burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />

I still say a car with a 70K fuel pump could be a POTENTIAL problem..At least add a new HP intank just for saftey...
