Default Problem with throttle body after spraying..

I'm running the TNT f1 kit - 100 shot on a 98 auto SS...

Each time after I spray, the gas pedal gets stiff to a point where I actually have to apply more pressure than normal to accelerate.

What I have been doing is taking off my lid, and using wd40 and rag to wipe around the blade in the TB. Then my problem goes away, until I spray again.

At one point, I did 2 runs at the track, and then couldnt push down the gas pedal at all, because it was stuck...COMPLETELY stuck, i had to be trailored home because i didnt know what was causing it.

I am running a Bauer TB and have no problems besides this, and no problems once I rub down the blade...only after I spray.

I tried lubing up the throttle body cam and putting some WD40 on the little piece of the cam that rests on the TB, but to no avail.

any ideas on whats causing this? maybe I should take off the TB and get some sandpaper and rub it down.

Just a guess/stab in the dark. Could the N20 be freezing the TB enough to cause the blade to rub/catch? Is the TB really cold after you spray?

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe the nozzle is in the wrong position.

Maybe the nozzle is spraying directly at the TB...I'm going to try to aim them downward and see what is up.

Only thing I can think of is that the TB is freezing a little after you spray and sticking. I have not had this trouble with mine. Give me a call later and we will take a look at yours and compare it to mine.

if you did the coolant bypass mod, try reversing it, it may keep it hot enough not to freez up

That, and with the dissimilar metals used (aluminum
housing, steel shaft) the higher shrinkage in the
body may be bringing the bore/shaft into interference.
Even dry. You might want to see about getting some
graphite lock spray worked into the thing, maybe get
a little better slip when it starts to bind. Off-car,
though, don't need any silicone getting down the
motor.
