You should be running a non-projected tip plug for nitrous, like a ngk br7ef

Don't gap them yet. Take them back to where you got them, and trade for BR7EF. Part # is NGK3346.

In relation to your question, I had my tr6 gapped at .040 on a 150 shot without any issues.

However, you want to use the br7ef's #3346 if you're able to return and exchange them.

Don't mean to hijack, but how is the 7ef for normal DD? On my old LT1 mild build, DD manners were great and mpg was also great.

There is a BR6EFS plug which is better than the old TR6's but the 7's are the better choice all the way around. The 7's are the proper heat range and can be used on shots from 75-200hp in most cases.

This may be a dumb question. I read theres no drivability issues, is there any power loss running the BR7EF when running n/a opposed to running a projected tip spark plug n/a?

Minimal to no power loss. The peace of mind on nitrous is more than enough to justify running the non-projected tips.

A tr5 or tr6 will stay cleaner if you are going to put a lot of miles on the plugs. I change my plugs when i go to the track. I run TR5s or Tr6s on the street and then swap in Br7s at the track or I am going to spray.

As Speedtigger posted on...there are a ton of people doing it that way. Run the hotter plug for N/A and daily driving and when they hit the track pull and install the correct plugs for nitrous. I used to do this as well before i went 100% nitrous and wasn't worried about n/a performance.

X2, never seen a power loss on our dyno with colder plugs.
