We are going to try our hands at Real Street... The record is like 8.4X, so we are a tad bit out gunned.. We are hoping to get a good weight break and or more nitrous jet for being stock block and small cubes...
The way the rules are now, 420 cubes or less is 3150lbs.. But 421-440 is 3300lbs.. So we are hoping for a weight break for combos under 400 cubes..

Nitrous jet limit is 82... I think with a 92-96 jet we could compete..

Ok so you guys are pushing for these rule changes? I have been to the KY race the past 2 years. I wouldn't mind running in RS if I had a chance.

I dont see them give out more jet but giving the small motors a weight break would be nice for car count. I love the real street class, we plan to down size the 461 depending on rules. I'm also waiting to see if the dr heads are allowed.

I think we are leaving at 3400 rpm with a 4000 stall. That's was the settings for the vid above, the 9.3 pass. We went up a click on the front shocks trying to keep the front down and on the next pass it went up again but we got the oil pan and had to call it a day. That's one reason I am going with the glide. We will be able to up the shot and make more power but it won't hit the tires as hard from the line.
Thats really loose compared to what we run. With those settings I would expect to be on the bumper everytime.

I was thinking the same thing. Cut the travel in half to start and tighten those front shocks up

That's exactly what we are going to do. Between that and the glide change it will stay down.

How many people can take advantage of a weight break that is below #3150
It is expensive to get to say #3000 and that should be what they are trying to get away from? I know they wont do it but a jet brake for the guys under 380 cubes would be a great idea to help out the stock/stroke block.

When we ran Nitrous and the glide we were around 1" of travel or less depending on the track.

Rays turbo car doesnt hit the tire at all compared to a nitrous car.
When your on a good track and really getting after it you'll be close to or at zero travel and starting to add weight to the nose to keep her down.

Most cars do at that track.

He doesnt need to run the limiters as tight as the nitrous cars but needs more weight on the nose to counter the power wheelie down track that the nitrous car dont have to worry about.
