car is an 02z, i was trying to spray a 100 shot through a hsw 78mm wet plate.
after the install, i tested it and it was breaking up.
changed jets, fattened it up, still breaking up and going lean
installed a 2nd wideband so i could monitor both banks.
discovered it was only the left side going lean
fuel pressue showed a drop while spraying
new racetronix pump with hotwire
still showing lean
swapped coils to opposite side of motor, tested again doing the same thing. then the same with the injectors, then plugs and wires.
tested after each one and still breaking up.
finally installed a spare single fogger i had laying around and no breaking up.
took the plate out, and looked for clogs in the inlets.
then i hooked up a tube to the inlet and blew into it to see if all the ports were flowing. thats when i discovered that while blowing into the nitrous side, air was coming out the fuel side?
are you kidding me? what kind of garbage product is this.
1050psi vs 58psi, nitrous was pushing back into my fuel rail. i'm so lucky i didnt hurt my motor.
i loved the idea of the 360 spray pattern but now im deciding on NOS or n2o outlet.
if anyone sees this and is considering an hsw plate, please do a test like what is in the video before you risk your car on a gimmick plate
i was a few hours away from giving up and selling the car because noone could figure out what would cause the problem i was having
I hope you changed your fuel filter and checked the nitrous pressure.
I once had a NANO regulator that did NOT regulate pressure and would creep to 1300+psi. This happened on a dyno in the heat of the summer. We were running the car w/the trunk closed and could not see the pressure.
Honestly, my car ran ok w/the HSW plate, but I sold the plate. Get a Nitrous Outlet system and see how it works for ya.
I saw in your other thread your plugs looked all wrong. Ditch the TR6s for some BR7EFs and close the gap way down to like 0.030". Misfires are going to show a very lean burn.
I didn't see what the total spark you ran was, but high spark and a wide gap will not work.

i check my bottle pressure after ever pull. i alread have the br7s gapped to 32.
i figured it was something like that, i tried getting the plate apart but i dont have the right kind of tool to do it. your plate is the one i'm looking at, just trying to decide now on single stage or dual.

its not hard to pull out, and if you dont have two widebands, you might miss one side going lean. i know not all of the plates are going to be bad, but i think you should check it.
