sprayed for the first time today need some advice
hey yall ,
got a question for you I shot today for the first time i have A NOS dry kit 85 shot on it the smallest jet the kit comes with anyways i was on the freeway and shot it 2gear to 3gear at 3,000Rpms and ending about 4500 rpms everything ran great no problems got off the freeway came to a stop light my car idoled normal ,nothing unusal but when i took off in first it felt like something was slipping i have a feeling its my clutch but i just want to narrow the possiblitys down to that if you understand what i mean. no check engine lights came on , no service engine lights came on everything is normal except when i take off in first gear it felt like i had to give it more gas because the rpms went really low and it kinda stutterd , when i got home i heard a ticking from the right side of the motor but i was wondering if it could be a lose spark pluge wire again no service engine lights everything normal ...any advice you guys can help me out with would be great

replace your clutch! it did not take long for my stock flywheel and clutch to crap out after i put the bottle on my '00 Z. the flywheel had 3 big blue glaze marks on it and the disk was pretty worn down.
what kind of clutch do you guys recommend i am going to be putting on a cam kit pretty soon tooo i was thinking a spec stage 3 clutch but i am always open to other ideas thanks for your help everyone

why are you guys recommending a new clutch ? What he's describing doesn't sound like a clutch at all . If the engine is stuttering and the r's are going low and it's requiring more throttle to take off from a stop then it's engine, not clutch . If you want to check you clutch out then get on the freeway at about 65 mph in 3rd gear and give it a bunch of throttle and pop the clutch and see if it barks a little . I've personally ran 8-9 bottles thru my stock clutch and don't have any issues. It'll still bark 3rd at 70 mph using the above test.
Did you change your plugs to Nitrous plugs ? I forget what number they are, but if you haven't then you probably burnt the electrode off.

Yea the spec stage 3 with the aluminum flywheel would be very nice. U did say that the car is only spuddering with u take off in 1st right? Not at Idle? You're gonna need some colder spark plugs also if u didnt already put some in. NGK TR6'S is what I use.

i did change the plugs i used auto lights 103 and gapped them at .40 .....i did discover a couple things the next day my car ran great no problems at all took off great the spark plug cable was loose when i checked it in the morning no problems but i am kinda scared to spray again i just want to be safe i have a window switch on it now .and yes the car ran fine during idole just when i took off it felt like something was slipping and i had to give it more gass then usal but in 2 - 5 shifing was good ....no white smoke car didnt die at a idole no service engine light oil pressure normal

IMO im not too sure about an aluminum flywheel because it all depends on what u do with the car. if you drag race it a lot get a billet stell one beacuse they can take the harder launches is most your races are from a roll the aluminum will be just fine. and about the clutch i dont know that much about spec clutches but ask if it is balanced casue i hear a lot about people buying clutches and they start making weird noises cause theyre outta balance.
I've never heard of noisesfrom a clutch being out of balance but I have heard clutches "Chattter" which is what every brand new clutch is going to do.It goes away after about 300-500 miles
