First you need to pick a nitrous system, I'm biased so I cant help you there. You need to get a window switch and possibly a fpss. Its not a bad idea to change the plugs and fuel pump down the road.

Fuel Preasure Safty Switch so if u dont have enough fuel preasure it(nitrous) wont come on. and its no best brand, every brand has something different it just depends on what your looking for. for example you can go to www.nitrouswarehouse.com and they have 3 switch panel thats made just for f-body's it has a master switch purge switch and bottle heater switch. and try and stay away from thoes wet systems just go with a nos brand dry system because if you get a wet kit and the gas solenoid dosent work your going way lean and its gona screw up your engine. if i think of anything else i will post it later.

No it is not. Like said above. Each kit has their good and bads. In reference to the wet kit being bad, you can lose a fuel injector while spraying a dry kit and its the same thing <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" /> NO kit is "safer" than another. Its all in preference.

But for a kit, you will need:

1) Nitrous kit

2) bottle warmer

3) FPSS (fuel pressure safety switch)

4) Window switch (so you DO NOT hit the rev limiter, yes, autos hit it too)

5) N2O filter

6) 1 range colder plugs (NGK TR6s) and regapped

7) Fuel pump (like the intank Walboro 340)

8) A bottle with a NHRA blow off valve

Those are the MOST important thing. You can also get a purge kit, but its not needed.

yea about the loosing the injector that is true i never thought about it, the fact that you are running the injector harder than usuall so really its all depends on what u want cause no one kit is really safer than the other and most nitrous kits come with a lot of the accesories depending on what kit you get, ive seen them with the fpss, the wot switch, and the window switch it all really depends on what u want and how much your willing to spend.

Wet is good because you get more tq and you can control your a/f ratio but the down side is you have atomized fuel in the intake track, which means you have a better chance of a back fire.
Dry is good because you dont have that risk but you dont have any control over the a/f ratio. They tipically ran a little leaner...Not good. You also have to worry about injector lock up.
They both run a risk of solenoid failure which would give you the chance to buy a new engine. Make sure you check your solenoids, I check them every weekend but I'm **** about my stuff too.

IMO, a dry kit is safer. There is 1/2 the solenoids to get stuck, half the wiring to go bad, etc... If the noid doesn't open on a dry kit, you just don't get the shot. Frustrating, but ultimately no big deal. On a wet kit, if the noid sticks closed, you are cooking something. Be it the plugs or the motor, depending on noid.

ATAP is a MUST for a N20 kit. Monitor it EVERY time.

A fuel pressure safety switch is also a realy good idea.

A window switch, to control what RPM's the juice engages at.

Wide open throttle switch.

Arming switch.

More (bigger) fuel pump is probably a good idea, but not entirely necessary if you don't get wild with the size of the shot.

Also from Speedshop.org you can get a nifty little air/fuel cutoff that displays the air/fuel mixture and if it gets lean or rich with a wet kit it automatically shuts the nitrous system off. Pretty safe there also and you can tune your vehicle.

i run a nx 150 shot wet kit with a tps switch 15lb bottle and bottle heater i also have the nx rocker switches with a 100 shot i went from a 13.7
to a 12.3 and the car was holding on the rev limiter in 3rd untill i remebered to turn on my shift improver but by then my bottle was empty i am hoping to run in the 11s this weekend and this is all with a totally stock motor i have exhaust and a moser 12 bolt with 3.73 but everything else is pretty much stock so in my opinion the nx wet kit is a very safe and good way to go if you have any questions about it feel free to ask i installed everything myself and i have a small performance parts business i run hope this helps
