TNT fuel pump install questions
Intstalled TNT wet kit this weekend on my 00 SS, but stopped short of the fuel pump install (walboro 255). Ran out of time and HAD NO INSTRUCTIONS!!. So... took car to local speedshop for the install, only to have them tell me it is the wrong pump.Spoke to Dave at TNT, he referred me to Agustino Racing. Spoke with Barry there, and he referred me to Jack at Racetronix... Talked with Jack at Racetronix, who said it can be done by modding the bucket the pump sits in, but it was pretty involved. The bracket will also have to be modded. He suggested I call Barry at Agustino... Any suggeestions?
Is there any ls1 specific instructions available? I want to use the 150 jets, but not without a fuel system upgrade, and if I cut out the bottom of the fuel pump bucket-there goes daily driver.
Please help.
Thanks, Dan

The only way to make the pump work right is to cut off the bottom part of the bucket, the rubber boot that holds the pump, cut and splice the new wire plug on, etc. It should be no issues in being a daily driver. The stock pump has a jet pump which is what fills the bucket and the Walbro does not have one, unfortuneately. I went through the same thing you are right now and ended up talking to Racetronix as well. I actually did a good job of hacking mine up to make it work right and look pretty even though no one will ever see it, just **** that way.
