Default 88N 45F Plug Pics

50%-50%mix of 110 and 93 in the tank. Nitrous outlet 78mm plate 88N 45F pulling fuel off the stock rail. 9* of timing pulled. #6 main feed line. 1000 psi in the bottle. LS6 intake. Walbro 255 with the hotwire kit. B8EFS plug #'s 3 5 & 6 have 4 passes on them and # 4 only has 1 pass. How much more fuel can I pull out if it. It didn't 1/8 mile like I felt it should but it did run better out the back.

#4 Doesn't look too bad. Unable to read the others since they have drive time on them. You need a new set of plugs, make a pass, shut it down, then read plugs. What's your idle and cruising a/f set at? Those other plugs are Bill Gates rich by looking at the pics.

I drove it to the track on a brand new set made three passes changed one plug and made one more pass. I shut it down after the 4th pass and pulled the one clean plug. I know the others are not clean enough for tuning purposes, but is the #4 plug still too rich? Thanks.

The AFR was 13.9-14.5 at idle and 10.2 at 6500 with the 46 jet. The only change I made from the wideband on the dyno to the track, was went from a 46 to a 45F jet. Do you think I could put a 43 or 44 in it or will that be too lean?

#4 is a little rich, but I've seen worse. I would lean it out a jet or so and take some timing out. Looks like your idle/cruising needs to be leaned out also. 10.2 is dead rich, but your wideband 02 could be going bad, hence reading plugs will tell the real tale. Fyi, I had to drop like 10 fuel jet sizes to get my n/f in the ballpark, near 12.5.

It was 10.2 when we sprayed it on the dyno with the 46 get in it. At the track I ran it once on the 46 jet then switched it to the 45 jet and it picked up .2 in the 1/4.

David I would def go down to a 43 and make another pass. If #4 is a true indication of your tune-up it can handle to be leaner. However if this is a total new combo I suggest putting 8 fresh plugs in, making a hit and pulling them all to see which cylinder is the leanest.

Will that plate even flow that nitrous jet? Have you flowed it to see? I'm thinking those plates barely flow a 73 or 78 jet... This is probably part of the reason your rich because your not getting the nitrous flow. Also explains why you aren't having to pull more timing than you are for such a large shot... Most every car I've done will have 12-13* out on a true 175 shot 72-73 NX jet.

Looks rich and a little overtimed but the timing mark is still visible on the #4 plug... I don't trust anything on the other plugs, can't read them with all the runtime thats been run on them. You need to take a full set of plugs to the track and put them in before a pass and shut the car down at the traps and pull them all to see whats going on. Thats the only way you'll see how distribution is and how hot each cylinder is.

I would personally ditch the plate and put dual nozzles in the intake personally. I like the distribution better from the setups that I've done between plate to nozzles.

I used the same plate with a 62N jet and the 88N jet. it made an additional 78RWHP on the 88 jet so I feel it is flowing more than just 150. I do not know its limit, but I've been told it will flow a 93 jet on a LS6 intake. I ordered 32 new plugs and I plan to make a pull through 1st and 2nd and then pull all 8 plugs and check the tune before I make any changes. Thank you everyone for the feedback.

How much additional power over NA did it make with each jet? Did it make a 150+ on the 62 jet? Then 228+ on the 88 jet?

It made 390 NA and 610 on the 88N 46F. It made 532 on the 62 jet. I know it didn't make exactly 150 and 250 to the tires on both tuneups but it defiantly keeps making more power as we turn it up. The only complaint I really have is it won't 1/8 mile what I felt it should. I am going to get a set of the 28" M&H drag radials and see if I can get it to 60' better to help drop the 1/8 times. On a 25.7" tire
60' 1.599
330' 4.37
1/8 ET 6.70
MPH 104.51
1000' 8.49
1/4 MPH 135.99

It is running out of gear 100' before the finish line, thats another reason I need the 28" tire.

It only feels fast to me after the 1/8th, its a dog out of the hole. I have the kit coming on at 2800 rpm ,no progressive.

Are you spinning at all? What rpm does the converter flash to? I'm pretty sure you can pull out more fuel but its smart to find your leaner holes. Is your na tune on straight 93 or the mix? If its on the mix I would pull a few degrees more for now, really I would pull 3 degrees more now? How does the car 60' na and what does it run na?

It's been a 1.48 60' on motor with a 4C+ converter. My new converter flashes at 4k. Its tuned on straight 93. I actually have not run it on motor since the new bottom end build. It went 11.50's at 118 with the same top end and a stock bottom end. It will spins pretty bad when the kit hits. The 1.59 is the best it's been on the spray with this setup. It usually ranges from 1.65-1.80. I know I need a taller tire to help with the traction.

28" slick is plenty enough to 60' very good.
Fix the car dont try and band-aid with a bigger tire.

Tires should be in tomorrow. I am going to try the M & H because I am running 17" rims, and they are the only ones offering a 28" tire for a 17. I got a few new sets of plugs. I plan on going out to my spot and make a hit and then pull all 8 plugs for better tuning. I will install the new set of plugs when I get out there and swap back to old set after shutdown at the end of the run. I will post more pics later this week. Thanks for all of the input.

#4 isnt bad. I would disregard the other plugs since they have a couple of passes. You could lean up a little. I would put a full set of new plugs, make a pass, shut down immediately, pull and then check. That way you can see whats going on in all cylinders.

#4 is rich. To many runs to get a good timing reading. Must not be to bad the marks not around the bend. you need to make 1 run pull the plug. no idle after the run. a little idle before is ok. don't drive on the plug.

The idle is way to rich. it should be closer to a grey color on the barrel on a good lean idle. black=bad brown porc is better.
