Thanks guys, I am not giving up on radials just yet. I just want to get the tune dialed in first with some consistent traction then switch back over.

@ Steve - Man this is a street car, but i can't drive all the way to Commerce! lol...

While you have been running slicks throwing a lot of power to get it to sixty. You have to hit the radials a little softer.

Not true. You have to hit them really hard and hold the tire down with the shock to get them to work.

THIS is very true!

You do not hit a radial soft! You PLANT that mug in the track, use compression in the shock to hold it there and do NOT pull power from the moment the trans brake releases so that it drives through the converter coupling transition to lock up smoothly. Once weight is transferred if the nose drops when the converter couples it will take the tire off.

Andy I'll call you later today man, got some words of wisdom.. You don't have to bring the car to Commerce i guess, but you better show up with your favorite pair of drinking shoes...

I was just saying that from what I no he was hitting it with 250 300 out the gate if he slowys the ramp down he might get it down the track. Some times u can't tie the car down if the track is not there. But what do I no I have only been 1.12 sixty foot living on 24 jet 2 kit 26 jet and third kit 31

I will say this. Wildside has been 1.28 60' on motor with a heads/cam car on a radial. 3150 lbs.

you've been 1.12 on 275s? you must be the 3rd fastest guy in the country on those tires..

315 it will go faster on a 275 pro we pulled a little gear out with the two speed th 400 it will go 450. It is my best friends car I have learn a lot with him

So have I....cam only on a 275/60 hoosier.....back to the originally scheduled programming!
