and.........standing 10' from the bottle while it was spinning next to the curb
was the second mistake. If the valve had hit the curb an broke off, the tank
would instantly become a 15 lb missle capable of putting a 7" diameter
hole in your chest.

And that crossed my mind as I was filming, But I figured what's a little more injury to insult. Plus how often do you get to see a Nos bottle dance like that? Lesson learned though.

My point in pointing out the danger is that many do not understand the danger
in handling nitrous bottles. When I said that the bottle would become a missile,
I was not trying to be humorous....about a year ago it read that a pit crew
member dropped a full bottle by accident, the valve broke off and the bottle
struck the crew member in the chest killing him.
Maybe this thread can save someone from being seriously injured.

Thanks, I think most people feel I intended to do this, If that was the case I would have said "Hey hold my Beer Bobby Lee and watch this" It was a freak accident I chose to share, Not be flamed by.

If you think this was a "freak accident" you should maybe review what a "Accident" is. As far as the FLAME you should just delete this thread because the FLAMES are going to keep coming. The MISTAKE you made was to think anything good was going to happen with this video by opening a mostly full bottle of nitrous with no control and posting it.

I think the comment at the start of the video says your intention " ALRIGHT HERE IT GOES"

The statement was in reference to letting a good amount of NOS go before I shipped the bottle. The video was intended for him, but after the turn of events that occurred I thought I would share the experience with people here on the forums. If you think I would intentionally plan something like this to transpire you are crazy. Maybe I can change the title to unfortunate turn of events so you can feel better about it and feel mentally superior in your quote. But if I remember correctly the title states how NOT to empty a NOS bottle. Have a wonderful day
the force you were about to unleash. My original post was to point out
that things would have gotten a lot worse quickly if the valve had been
broken off. (for the benefit of forum members that may not be experienced
in handling high pressure gases)
I thank you for sharing the video....it may save someone a serious injury.

You were correct in venting the tank before shipping, but did not anticipate
the force you were about to unleash. My original post was to point out
