I have just started my research to add nitrous to my ZL1. I am considering a dedicated fuel system as my current fuel system is nearly maxed out with my current mods.
I have a bunch of questions!
Does anyone build a stealthy tank set up for the 5th gen Camaro?
If I run race fuel for say a 100 shot will I need to back off timing?
I suspect most race fuel is leaded. Will that have any negative effect on sensors? Any comments regarding nitrous and supercharged applications would be appreciated.

On the ctsv's we put the stand alone in the trunk. On a v making 710whp with a 100 shot on top it made 868whp and we pull 2 degrees at peak tq running c116 in the cell. I would start pulling a couple more like we originally did then work up from there.

What fuel are you using for the engine? 94? If so how do you tune for the two different burn rates of two different fuels?
My builder is suggesting we do a dry system with no fuel cell but he wants me to run C16 all the time but that is not practical as I have an hour drive to the track. I do not trailer it.

Our 2 Gallon Universal Dedicated is real popular for what you are needing. Its really your best option.

They sell unleaded race fuel but its not 116. You can put unleaded 109 in the standalone and it works great. You don't have to pull any timing on a 100 shot if your running the high octane fuel in your standalone. You can pull 2 degrees out for peace of mind but will lose some power. I have done this on a dyno and on a 125 shot lost 14 hp pulling 2 degrees out but it was clean and no detonation with ZERO timing pulled out. Start spraying more and the equation changes.
Put 93 in the big tank and 109 unleaded in the standalone and let it eat. No cat problems or o2 sensor problems or emission problems.

We run c116 in the fuel cell and since its such a small % of the total fuel in the motor we have never seen a problem. Think about it, you are adding 700 hp of pump gas and 100 worth of leaded for maybe 10 seconds at a time.

My builders recommendation is to go dry through the blower. We will try his way but make provisions in the set up for wet as well. It should be a cleaner set up , just a pain to switch fuels at the track.
