Default NX Valve replacement

I need to replace my NOS bottle valve. Any one ever do this before? I bought an NX valve, but it looks like it is going to be a pain getting the old vavle off. Has anyone ever removed a valve from a bottle before? Is there any technique or advice you guys can throw my way?

Thanks,
Tim

If its a newer Nos bottle it should come right off. Use the longest wrench or crescent wrench you can find. Lay it down on the floor and against a wall with someone sitting on it and give a quick sharp turn. Maybe put pressure on the end and then smack the end of the wrench with a hammer.

If its old and full of teflon paste and tape and crap....good luck!. Just dont use a pipe wrench on the neck. Maybe take it to a local welding supply place..they have special equipment for this and would probably do it for free.
