Default MSD 8969 Issue, question for the nitrous guys

Have a question for the nitrous guys.

We installed a wet kit being controlled by an MSD 8969 on a buddies 03 Mach1. Everything works fine except for an issue that I believe is coming from the never installed 2nd or 3rd hand window switch he provided.

the rpm signal wire is coming from ecu pin 26 (coil driver) which is relatively common spot to pick this up on a 99-04 fords. the box will drop rpm signal killing the nitrous system in higher gears. doesnt happen or is unnoticeable in 1st and 2nd, fraction of a second in third, and 2-3 times for .4-.5 secs in fourth. you can watch the rpm's on the box read fine, then when it happens it will freeze, drop to 0, then pick back up. happens at basically the same rpm every time. move the nitrous engagement up or down 200 rpm, and the issue will follow. we remounted the box using different padding to isolate vibration, redid the solder connection on the rpm signal, same thing. power and ground should be fine since the box never turns off, just drops rpm. the "new" window switch also had an audible single rattle, as in something loose, prior to install, however since it had changed hands an unknown number of times and there is no warranty anyways we installed it to see if it was in fact an issue.

there are no issues when the nitrous system is deactivated and the window switch is off.

likely window switch or something else?

Thanks

I would give MSD a call and ask them for some feedback on it. I hope i dont have that problem although I am the only owner of my MSD 8969 but it hasnt been mounted in years.

Yeah I run this switch as well, nut it was already installed when I bought the car, so i'm really not sure here. Definitely try MSD on that one
