How much does your torque spike when your kit hits?
How much does your torque spike when your kit hits? I have dynoed the car a few times on the nitrous TNT wet kit. Dynoed with the 75 shot #'s were a few shy of 75RWHP to the rear wheels. I'm curious though I've heard of several people having a pretty big torque spike when it hits. For example a friends Nitrous works hit, he makes 348RWTQ N/A. On the 125wet shot it hits a eye boggling 567RWTQ when the thing hits. Thats a 219RWTQ with a 125shot. I however get 104RWTQ spike when mine hits with the 75 shot. If you could post your dyno graphs would be great or just let me know some #'s. thanks post through!

Re: How much does your torque spike when your kit hits? I went from 324>429 RWH AND 335>512 RWT on about a 130 shot on a 5177 kit with .040 jets. The torque spikes about 400 rpm into the hit!
Re: How much does your torque spike when your kit hits? Went from 340 rwtq up to 730 at 3300 rpms. Thats about a 390 gain. Dont forget...the lower in the rpms you hit it...the more the tq spike. Some of these guys just hit the shot at 2900 or some crazy stuff to get huge tq peaks. I will not hit mine that low again. Its just not necessary.

Ill tell you what, watching the hit is VIOLENT. Ill never do that again, progressive is the only way to go.

Re: How much does your torque spike when your kit hits? Back in my 150 shot days I hit about 550 RWTQ sometime after 3K. Yes the hit is violent but damn is it fun. If I wasnt so neck deep into this procharger crap I'd be out hitting the N2O right now. After my experience with the pain of superchargers and computer tuning I would say heads, cam, and nitrous are the way to go. If thats not enough then add more cubes. Unfortunately for me there is no turning back now. Later guys.

thats with a tnt 100 shot w/ 1000 psi bottle pressure <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> .This isn't on the subject ,but what kind of pump are you guys running, my car went lean on the initial hit is this normal or not enough pump? I have a walbro in line pump.My air/fuel when I hit it was 14.8 at 3000 rpm then jumped to 18.0 at 3800 rpm and stayed there until 4500 rpm then came down to slowly to 12.8 the rest of the run. Any help would be appreciated.

Heres what my car did with the still stock internal pump and I have a 98 so a tad bigger injectors. My car with 950PSI bottle pressure spikes the fuel pressure from 59psi to a quick flash to like 30psi and back to 55psi in a blink of an eye when the noid opens on my wet kit and then slowly goes down to 54.5psi at 5800RPM with the 75shot. My air fuel ratio went from 12.8 to 14.3 on the initial hit then goes down to 10.5 then waves a bit inbetween 10 and 11 then comes to a steady 11:1 for the rest of the RPM from say 4300RPM up. This is with the N20 hitting at 3400RPM and the MAFT turned to 5%lean at base. With the MAFT set at 0's the car was going to 10:1 almost the entire run. So 10.95@122MPH is the quickest stock internal M6? With how much NOS? What mods? I have a million ?'s for ya then. Especially like what clutch is holding for you?

1)4.10 gears
2)centerforce clutch(now mccleod)
3)flowmaster
4)tnt lid
5)et streets 26x10.50x15
6)tnt 100 shot thats it car ran 12.35 at 110 on motor at that time that has been over a year ago also.
Everthing else was stock.Car weighed 3610 raceweight.
