haha I just use jets I have lol. I know I probably need to get a smaller fuel jet. Im more concered about timing that afr.

yea you are still rich, as Brandon said, as you start leaning the mixture out you are going to start seeing the heat creep toward the bend, but you have to get the fuel out of that thing.

in all seriousness take your time if you really want to get it right, keep taking fuel out of it but watch the timing as you do you will get it right it just takes a little time and without having a clue where timing or anything is its just making it more difficult on you.

I'd quit messing around with it and put a 62N/31F and pull ~10* out of it and make a full 1/4 pass. If the NA tune is right that'll put you pretty close to start with.

If you are dead set on keeping the shot small then take fuel jet out cause its pig rich. 46N needs close to a 23-24 fuel jet on a single nozzle setup.

What does the car run A/F wise NA? Target 12.5-13.0 on the nitrous and use timing to control the heat from there. Don't need all that excess fuel. Some of my fastest nitrous passes have been @13.5 afr up close to redline.

You need to get something to at least pull timing but hp tuners or efi live will be best. Do you have a friend with a lsx vehicle you guys could split the cost. You will break your **** or stay slow if you don't find out where your at. I know you said the engine is cheap but the lingenfelter controller if cheaper.

You're playing with fire without a way to change timing. You're also playing with fire running it rich and with what looks like to me too much timing. I'd be interested to see the timing mark after you get the fuel cleaned up. I'd be willing to bet its in the bend. Not that I'm too concerned with the mark but since that is all we have to go off of instead ET and MPH, we have to use it.

I know this is a cheap budget car but nitrous is not something to cheap out on. Good components will save you money in the long run. Seems like people who are known for their knowledge are trying to help and you're not hearing it. Get the right jets, get a timing controller and you will be much happier. 1 bad mix of race gas can cost you. I've seen it a few times with guys using it as a crutch on a street car. There is a lot left in the setup from what I'm seeing based off the plugs.

Id say with 107-108 gas in the tank its a good safety net. I'll be testing 61/32 jets for about 150 whp shot and see how she does. Again I threw this set up together from what I had already and it'll be fine for 5-10 1/4 passes. I just want to get into 11s lol

Gotcha

Just so long as new guys that are searching for info know this is NOT the proper way to use nitrous and will get you in trouble fast if you aren't lucky. This is a spray and pray method.

I like that Spray and Pray method!
I agree with you this isnt the "proper" method to do this and def not on the street. At the track where I would read plugs after each pass and keep an eye on it so to speak.... I'll take that risk.
I'll keep you guys updated! If it wont rain we are heading to the track.

The "spray and pray" is the new term for the old "go or blow" plan.

It either gonna go or its gonna blow

went to the track. Kinda lastg minute decision. Bottle ran low and I couldnt even make a single pass. I only spray and pray in 2nd and it felt so so them pressure dropped right away to 800-850 and third felt like crap. Trapped 115 mph in 1/4 mile. That was on the same small around 85 shot. N/A i did 12.9 with horrible 60". My best was 2.0. thats on Nitto 555R 245/55/16. I dont know if it was track or me. I think me lol. I tried different rpm launches and slipping the clutch and still itd bogged down. hmmm
N/A trapped 110-111 mph. What do you guys think et is too low for that trap speed?
