Default NOS newbie has questions.

I have a 99 T/A A4 and I just received my NX GM EFI kit,GenX II kit and remote opener. The pills that came with the set up are 3K and 6K. I launch from idle(900 RPM) and shift at 6400 RPM, my question is should the low end pill be lower than 3K RPM and should the high end pill be higher than 6K? TIA,

Mark

Absolutly NOT the low pill should always be ABOVE 3k the high pill is up to you. 6k is pretty good. Your rev limiter(if stock) goes off at 6200-6300 so you should not go higher. Some may say you might want to go lower if you can't shift fast enough but it should be fine if you shift fast(I like 6k pills). The high pill should always be below what your shift light is set at. I assume you are talking about the MSD widow switch.

I would also find out what Ed set your timing to. With Nitrous you do NOT want your timing advanced too much or you will blow up your engine.

P.S. NOS is a brand!!!! You should call it Nitrous or N2O

SSDriver,

I checked my timing with autotap, it's at 28 degrees advance, is that to much for N02? TIA,

Mark
