Lingenfelter LNC2000 Diodes
Lingenfelter LNC2000 Diodes Hello everyone, I am getting ready to install my nitrous outlet F-body specific plate kit. To retard the timing i'm going to use a Lingenfelter LNC2000 box that I bought second hand, unfortunately it didn't come with the diode kit that I need. I tried calling Lingenfelter today but couldn't get anyone on the phone. My question is what diodes do I need? Is there anything specific that I am looking for or can I pick up the diodes from radio shack or electronics store? Also, do I just need one diode per solenoid? Thank you everyone for the help.

i am no expert, but i did just buy the lnc2000, so i have it brand new in the plastic, with all instructions. it cam with a seperate package with three of these diodes. the instruction say to install one as a bridge between the wires of every solinoid you have, mine for example just the one for n20. if u have line lock one for that also, and so on. if u need i have the diagram that came with it, if u cant find it online pm me. or ask in here.
Mine came with the diodes as well with the LNC-2000. Not sure if that's something you can just buy anywhere kind of thing. I'd try calling Lingenfelter again. I've never had problems getting a hold of them

i would just buy one, unwrap it, test the resistance and all that good stuff, then buy another 20 from Jameco Electronics where they start at just $0.009 each

hmm? I didnt get any diodes or instructions with my NEW LNC that i bought from Lingenfelter. I gotta call them tomorrow and ask if they can send them to me.

They are not a simple diode. It is a tvs. A simple diode works in only one direction. Order through Lingenfelter website. Very hard to get ahold of them by phone. Will take about a week to get. Use a tvs on each of your solenoids. N2O, fuel, purge, line lock, etc. Wire the tvs in parallel with each solenoid circuit, they are non directional. You can get away with one tvs if your N2O and fuel solenoid are paralled. The tvs supresses the high flyback voltages when the solenoids are turned off and the magnetic field collapses, which causes a spike voltage.
no way....i called and ordered my LNC and received it in 3 days. just no envelope with these freakin diodes everyone is talkin about.

just one end of the diode on the ground wire and the other end of the diode on the power wire.
I have fuel, nitrous and purge...so i need one for each and they are on their way to me.
