Default Frost tune w/ nitrous

May have overlooked it, but did a search and couldn't find a number. I have the basic bolt on mail order tune from frost and am in the process of installing NX kit along with the Lnc-2000 to pull timing. Question is, how much does he advance the timing, if any? I'm trying to figure out how much to retard timing on 100 and 150 shots. I emailed him, but I believe he's pretty busy, so might get a quicker response here. Thanks

The general rule of thumb is 2 degrees for every 50 horsepower. So on a 100 pull 4 degrees and on a 150 pull 6.

I agree...2 degrees every 50, and it would ideal to someway monitor your a/f on a nitrous run just to be sure

Ok, I thought it was 2 degrees for every 50, but wasn't sure if that was for stock timing or of it would work if he has advanced the timing? Thanks for the help guys!

Well I have no clue if your timing has been advanced or not, but if it is I would think it would be minor because it's just bolt ons only. With that said I would think the 2 degrees for every 50 would still apply, but that's why I mentioned checking a/f (at least once) on a nitrous pull just to verify. Also checking a plug or two wouldn't be a bad idea

Thank you! I am in the process of buying a wideband and the timing retard box, I want to make sure I have the correct setup before I use it. Years ago we would just throw a kit on and head to the strip lol...a wonder we didn't scatter parts everywhere! Trying for a "safer" route this time!

Whats a good target AF ratio on 150 shot? Around 11.5ish?

For the average guy who isn't reading his plugs religiously and isn't going for an all out race tune we recommend to be around 11.8-12.0.

I would personally wait until you hear back frost just be on the safe side. I also recommend data logging it when you spray unless you plan on reading your plugs.
