Flashing SES... Help

Flashing SES... Help today.. i was just testing out my newly filled bottle... 2 out of the 4 times i sprayed i got a Flashing SES light... on the 4th time i Autotaped a quick 2nd gear to 3rd gear nitrous pull... the flashing SES didnt go off... timing was 22 to 24 degrees, Max kr was 1.0 Both o2's where 890-910... any clues?

I had that problem once and it was 3 plugs melted. It means misfire and it will kill the motor. Pull all your plugs and inspect.

Re: Flashing SES... Help What plugs are you using? I hope its not the stock ones. You need to get you a set of NGK TR6'S. Spraying on stock plugs is a NO NO. <img border="0" alt="[kaboom]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_bomb.gif" />

Re: Flashing SES... Help What? flashing SES means do not drive the car??? i use to get it when my o2's where out of wack at every stoplight... i still get it at stoplights once in a blue moon?... i just think its a misfire code... but ok...

Re: Flashing SES... Help flashing SES light can/will flash without setting a code, its a "multiple misfire on a specfic cylnder(or a couple diffrent ones)OR a catastofic emisions problem. ( read the last one in a manual somewhere) its mostly a misfire when it happens tho......if it only happens when you spray its most likey due to insufencent fuel or your blowing out the spark( i doubt that one) it happened to me a few time, changed plugs and went on my way, sprayed again and now im replacing rings, so i say CHECK EVERYTHING.... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />
Re: Flashing SES... Help I about sh*t this weekend. Went to spray a 100 wet shot, and the car immediately fell on it's face simultaneously tripping the flash of death. A 1/4 mile seems so long witha flashing SES. As soon as I rolled around the turn off, I figured it out. I left the bottle closed, flooding the engine with excess gas, ooooops. Good thing that's all it was. Bad thing it was during the fastest street car shootout in Hawaii, racing a teammate in brackets....doh!!!!
