I would recommend a 3.73 with a 150 shot - 4.10s could be getting close to running out of gear on the big end, which will definitely be true if you start running other mods.

As for a 10 bolt, a 150 shot, and 3.73s or 4.10s?

You might get a few passes, but you will break it eventually as it will be way too much torque for it. Whether you get 1, 10, or 20 passes is a roll of the dice.

hmm, i think it will hold a good while depending on when u spray it. If you spray it right out the hole, your either gona or your gona so what im basicly sayin is the higher rpm you spray it at the smaller your chances are of it up. I thikn you can get a good number of passes out of the 10 bolt, but dont waste any time getting the 12 bolt.

Gears are really a cover for lack of HP. .as with any power adder car it will run better with a 3 series gear over a 4 series.. depending if you want ET or MPH, auto or stick but you do have to consider slick diameter 26, 27 or 28".. RPM capability of the motor as well as where it makes power.. is it peaky or flat? answers to those questions will give you an idea of what gear you may want to run...

I don't think I would go as far as to say "gears are a cover for lack of HP". I think many of the prostock guys that are running 1000RRWHP or more with 5.13 gears or whatever would take offense to that! Gears are a tool to keep the engine in its power band, not a cover up for lack of power. Same with a stall converter. Actually you lose RWHP by making your rear gear steeper, an example- you could expect a 10-15RWHP by going from a 3.42 to a 4.10. I would say the use of a power adder is more of a cover up for HP then gears, but I don't feel its cheating to use a power adder, at all! RUN WHAT YA BRUNG , is a popular term isn't it. You are not one of those guys that screams foul because your opponent has gears, are you???? I have seen many of the guys! Soon as they hear about 4.10s they scream cheater... C'on already! I am running 414RWHp through a 12 bolt, 4.10s and chrome AFS Zr1 17x11 315s out back, AM I covering up for a lack of power???

i think you missed the point of my post... there are a lot of variables to choosing the right gear.. how about re read it? i went from 4.10 to 3.50 in my camaro because this was a better gear for my setup.. that is the point.. i do not disagree with your statement " Gears are a tool to keep the engine in its power band" that is correct but it all depends on the cars setup and tire sizes... and no i don't whine about gears and do believe in "run whatcha brung" power adder or not. I too have 462rwhp NA with a back braced 9" and 3.50 gears with 315 Nittos on HRE's in which case i don't need 4.10 gears..

I have done some preventive overhaul on my 10-bolt, but my stock limiter slip is not up to the task anymore. I can't get both tires to hook up, I usually spin one off the line. I would replace it with a better posi, but I rather save the money for a 9-inch. I stayed with 3.42 gears which I heard is less likely to break.

as far as breaking the rear end/driveshaft/stock 10 bolt, I noticed a lot of people feeling luckier with their STOCK WS6s over their STOCK camaros. Maybe its just coincidence. Dont take advantage of what was just stated though.
