Building up 4 nitrous
Nothing radical. I was wondering... What can I do to safely spray 200-250rwhp with a stock bottom end? I could do it now, but I'm sure the rings will wear out quick. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
Can I just upgrade pistons and rings? What else should I do?

Stock piston will not be able to handle the heat generated by a 200hp shot for long. Plus the connecting rods will be under a huge strain.
To safely deliver a nitrous shot of over 150hp, it is best to use a Direct Port Fogger. With a fogger, the total shot is divided by the number of cylinders and delivered close to the valves.

ARE budget shortblock with a cam and maybe heads. get good head gaskets and head studs and a good fuel system and you can spray a 200 shot. whon how to hook up that 200 shot will be another issue.
good luck

I'm want to beef up my stock block. I don't need anything hard core. I don't want to spend to much.
Just somthing that will handle big shots from time to time, and still hold together for daily use.
I have a two stage setup. That should help with traction.

dont try to run a big shot on the stock motor. they just cant take the power for long. i cracked 2 pistons on a tnt 150 shot. the ARE forged block is the best buy you can find. barry and wade took care of me when i bought it!
call them up and talk to them about running a 200 shot on a 346.
