Default Injectors, controllers and other questions...

Here's what I'm having installed at the shop this week and next:

NX (Nitrous Express) Standard Wet Kit (setup for 150 shot)
NX Bottle Heater
NX Remote Bottle Opener
NX Pressure Guage
NX Fuel Pressure Saftey Switch
NX WOT Switch
MSD Window Switch
Purge Valve
Custom Switch Panel
NGK TR6 Spark Plugs
MSD LS1 Spark Plug Wires
Dual Walboro Fuel Pumps

My goal is to spare no expense to have the safest spray setup I can. My goal with the car has always been to have the MOST power possible while maintaining complete streetability.

I also have stage II ARE heads and a cam, as well as full exhaust (Hooker all the way back) and all bolt ons. (For the complete modlist, click here.

I'm putting down 411 hp untuned, but am running VERY rich (11:1) at WOT, and am currently rev-limited. Once those issues are solved, I should hit 425 rwhp and about 400 rwtq.

Are there any things that I'm missing from my setup that will increase reliability and safety? Are the stock 2001 LS1 injectors enough to handle a 150 wet shot resulting in almost 600 rwhp? Should I consider some kind of nitrous controller/timing tuner? I don't really understand much about this piece of equipment... do they have setups that will automatically retard your timing only when your nitrous system is armed? Are the TR6 plugs cold enough to handle this setup?

(And, yes, I know a 12 bolt would be a benefit. That's not what I'm asking, at this point, though =))

TIA,

Jonny

i sure wouldn't start with a 150shot if your looking to be on the "safe" side, start with a 75 or a 100 shot and work your way up. seems like alot of people around here say forged pistons and rod bolts if your going to try 2 power adders.

if your injectors are large enuff now they will be large enuff with the nitrous, all the extra fuel will come thru the nx fuel solenoid.

sounds like a nice set up.

Jonny,

I just got my car back last Friday afternoon after having the same exact set up you are doing except for the fuel pumps. My car is a H/C cam 99T/A making 396 RWHP and 413.5 RWTQ(before N02) with a stock A4 tranny/shift kit, stock 10 bolt rear end with 3:73 gears. I made 5 passes on the bottle with no issues. My best pass on a 75LB shot was a 7.366@92.70 MPH on a 1.591 60ft and a .750 RT. I also had passes of 7.377@93.109, 7.385@94.402, 7.399@92.696. I think safety wise you have everything covered, I would start off with a75LB shot and see how the car reacts to it first. Then move up to a 100 and so on. If I can make it to the track this weekend I'm gonna runa 100LB shot.
