Window Switch install questions?
1. My car is a 2001, and only a 2000 shop manual was available, so we used the tach lead to the window switch based on the 2000 cars. Does anyone know for sure if they are different? If so what pin is it, and what color is the wire for the tach lead on a 2001?
2. If we are already using the the right wire as the tach lead, than the window switch must be faulty. Now I didn't buy it used, the guy who installed it said he's heard of them being faulty out of the box, anyone else ever heard of this?
I know I didn't get into a lot of detail about the troubleshooting of the system after it didn't work, but if anyone else has some ideas on what could possibly be wrong, we believe we've covered everything and we're open to all possible problems. I just want it to work. Thanks a lot everyone for any help you can offer.

to really know your wiring(don't fry the components).
Don't forget that the FPSS will need running fuel
pressure to complete it's circuit.
If the car is not running(or the pump is not keyed
on) the fuel pressure will not be high enough to
successfully test it.

99-02 all use the same tach lead.
Just us 98 cars are different (and 97 for the vettes)
Hope this helps <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
