What intank fuel pump is the easiest to install and quality
I'm looking to bump up the 150shot for 10's this spring. I will obviously need a intank fuel pump. I was wondering who makes and maybe how much they are. I wanted to know which fuel pump is basically a plug and play for the most part. I'm not a big fan of wiring or soldering etc etc a new one in. I also want to know good and bad about pumps people have bought, as in failures or works awesome. I have a 98 Z and wondering is my car the year you still have to drop the hole tank to get the pump in? Anyone have a write up step bye step of this install with a particular fuel pump(s). Thanks for all posts.
Definately sounds like you want a Racetronix setup. It comes prewired and has a relay and all terminals install. About as easy as it gets. Good for 600+ hp too.
I believe you have to drop the tank no matter what year you have. Its not too bad a job. Helps if your on a lift.

I would go with the walbro 340 intank it is good up to 550hp but I have seen 600hp. It is $300 and uses all stock hardware. And if you ever need more pump than that you can go with a custom 2 pump intake pump. I think that is good for 800+hp. As far as the drop the tank thing you can change the pump from inside the car! By cutting a 5inx5in hole in the floor lots of people have done this. You should think about going with a a fuel system for the nos only. that way you can run pump gas in the car and race gas for the nos in the other tank.

Thanks for the info so far guys. I found out that I can get the ractronics intank fuel pump for about $250 or so. I've seen the Walbro 340intank for sale new bye board members for like $150 so that may not be a bad idea either. How involved is it though to change all that wiring and stuff to the new pump? As in is there splicing, soldiering etc necessary? I've heard that if you can hang the rear low enough on either 98 ups or 99 ups that you can change the pump w/o dropping the tank hence the question if anyone has done a 98 w/o dropping the tank. I think for now I'll refrain from cutting a hole in the back for now. I'll go the route a friend did. No hole, pump failed then hole!! LOL! keep the info coming people gotta figure out something soon! 150shot here I come.
What's this trap door mod that we're talking about? I'm planning on changing the pump out in the spring and would rather not dis-assemble the entire car. Send a link if there is one.
