thanks for the info smokinhawk.

is the direct port the safest way to use nos? i have an M6 stock with no mods other than intake and exhausts.

The reason i asked if there could be an on/off switch for a supercharger is because of the fact that a supercharger will reduce engine life dramatically and i dont want to do that (unless i decide on bigger block with better pistons). But a supercharger is safer than NOS since NOS has several rules like not spraying under 3000 RPMS or not over 5000 RPMS because (from what i've heard again) that could cause damages to the engine.

Is there a very safe way to use NOS without anything blowing up on 6-spd? I dont wanna miss a gear and blow my engine or spray under or over border lines.

Again thanks for the help. I do appreciate it.

oh yeah whats the new noszle system?

its no rule that you cant spray over 5000 RPM, and you can buy a window switch that wont allow the electronics of the system to opperate before a ceratain RPM and after a certain RPM. For example if you want to spray the engine from 3000-6200 rpm, just get the pills that have that marked on them
BTW:some people get mad when you go around callin nitrous NOS. FYI Nos is a brand, not the accual thing, either call it one of these names cause it kinda makes you sound like a ricer

Nitrous
N20
Gas
Juice
Sauce
Throttle in a bottle
and a couple of others I just cant recall them off the top of my head

never heard saying NOS for nitrous is rice. But I learned that now. Thanks.

about the window switch, how would it apply in a situation where the driver misses a gear? Does it do any sort of protection?

Also what if a moron got in my car and shot 100 HP shot of N20 into the engine while it was turned off. Is there a way of letting that shot out of the engine somehow?

Thanks for all the info.

Most systems come with an off/on switch as a saftey feature. But if someone did accidently spray a shot you could take the bellows off and wipe and air them out. Veterans correct me if I'm wrong.

The window switch will only let you spray while your within a ciratin RPM, is the car is turned off and you have the window switch you can press that button all day and nothing will happen. Then again if your car is at idle you can press it all day too cause your car isnt within that cirtain RPM range. The other side of the window switch help with you missing a shift. If you miss a shift while spraying your motor is gone. If you do it without spraying, your engine goes past the rev limiter. So lets say that you rev limiter is set at 6000. and the "Off" setting on your window switch is set at 6000. Lets say when you miss a shift your engine goes past 6000, when your engine hits that 6000 mark its gona turn your nitrous system off there fore it wont work no matter what. You can also buy a wide open throttle switch that will only allow the nitrous system to activate when the throttle is all the way open. So both these systems protect the engine from most of the driver associated erro with a nirtous system. If you have any other questions, just ask.

Default newbie question. simple and straight forward.

1)Whats the difference between a NOS Wet Kit and a NOS Dry kit?

2)which one is better and why?

3)what exactly is a Direct Port NOS kit? this is (from what i've heard) the best NOS kit out there right?

4)Would it be possible to run an on/off switch for a supercharger? or lets say an on/off switch for the boost level? that way i dont have to sacrifice engine life as much when Im driving to the store lol ...

i never thought that those things do exist! thanks a lot! how much does those cost? whats the best N20 kit out there? I always considered the N20 very dangerous which made me lean towards the supercharger.

Let me know of some sites with some of the best systems out there if you can. Thanks a whole lot again.

wrong section but,

dry kit sprays only nitrous, wet kit nitrous and fuel thru the nozzle,

direct port injects to the intake chambers so no chance of fuel puddleing (vrs injection thru the trottle body.

no you cant turn on and off a super charger.

Hehe, best n20 kit out there. You are going to get quite a few different opinions on that one. It all depends on what you are looking for. if you want ease of install, and maybe not quite the advertised power gains, NOS 5177 dry kit. If you are looking to make good power, with a maybe a touch more danger to the engine, then the TNT wet kits are great, The Venom kits probably make the most power safely, and the NOSzle kits seem to be doing well too.

I'd recommend the Venom kit, it comes with the most safety precautions. It sounds to me though like a turbo would suit your needs/interests more than the bottle. Assuming you can afford the cash. You're gonna pay for it either way, either up front with the turbo, or slowly over time with N20 refills.

In my opinion for the best kit, I would have to say that it all depends on how big of a shot you wana run. If your talkin about a 100 shot for kicks and *****, The NOS brand kit would suite you better. If your looking for a 125-200 I would say your typical wet kit weather its Nitrous Express or TNT. If you wana run more than that or you plan on using it frequently I would have to say go with a direct port kit. Go to the Nitrous Outlet's web site---> and TNT's website. They have everything that you could ever need. Im happy I could help you, if you have anymore questions ust ask
