I know that a huge stall is not good to spray with. But, what if I used a progressive controller so it wouldn't hit so hard when the converter flashes? I'm going to have a 4400 with my setup, and a smallish shot (100) would be nice to have for those races that are a little too close.

I spray a 150 shot right off the line to my PT4400 on my bolt-on motor. I've cut a 1.37 sixty with it. While it's not an ideal stall it will work. Good luck!
