Default QUICK QUESTION ASAP >>

What can you use on the threads of all the connections? The instructions say NX red thread sealer but I do not have this, can I just use conventional thread sealer?

Thanks!

Justin

I just tightened mine up pretty snug. I don't have any problems. I probably will grab some thread sealer later on. When I baught the kit it had a little on the solenoids and stuff though.

Justin you should use red loctite. I have some here if you want to take a ride. I am putting in my 12 bolt. You can use pipe sealer just make sure you don't get any in the noids. Its not a good Idea to use tape unless you are careful not to get any in the inner threads. loctite works better because it seals and you don't have to crank down on it.

I just bought the large bottle of thread sealer from Bondloc. It was $35 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> Loctite makes an equivilant but its even more. Up until now I have always used the teflon tape and NEVER had a problem. But I will give this stuff a shot. I am installing a NX MAF system for someone now. Ill post my thoughts on using this stuff when its complete.
