Compilation of Nitrous Direct port photos within
I have been saving these pics for a while now, and just got access to my school web host <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />
I know that Jeff ( I think) had a DP topic going a while back, so I saved a lot of those pics.
Photos are from Tom (Fastrthan u) Bad habbit bird, agostino, RomanSS, Velocity, TnT, NX, KECHME, and a few others.
If you see a pic you want removed, let me know and Ill take it down! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

Nice job Louis, but I really could have used those a few weeks ago before I started mine <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Thanks for the pics. I'm doing research now for my project. The cleanest one I have saw so far is the one in the Hot Rod Engines mag, done by Pat Musi. I'd like to see more that have braided lines, instead of hard lines.

It was also my first time at trying to make that kind of stuff. I had just learned how to use the plasma cutter on that. I looks good IMO for my first. You would be supprised on what you do when your bord. Expecilly in your back yard.

I think it looks great Albert. Best of all, you made it yourself! The only way to go, unless you have deep pockets to pay someone else. I guess some folks are more concerned with appearance than functionality <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />

17 or not, Albert did a kick *** job. I would not have wasted my time putting it up had I not liked it <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />
Todd, I know I know <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_images/icons/tongue.gif" /> Ill add yours, but you have an explanation that goes with each pic. Its a little goofier just saving pics and leaving out explanations <img border="0" alt="[driving]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_driving3.gif" />

Comparing prices............So I am curious if there is a problem with the NOS direct port kits, they seem to be resonably priced, compared to the others, just curious? Does anyone know of any reason of not to use them on a LS1 setup. And also, how do you make sure the nozzle is securely attached on a composit intake? I am very interested in doing this. Will a stock bottom end hold a 150 direct port, it holds my TNT F1 good, but after my fuel system upgrade, I am considering going to a 200 shot if I go DP, I just am real worried about the puddling issue, and not having each cylinder getting the same mixture! PLEASE HELP!
Since Reckless is currently doing a nice writeup on it, Ill let him answer those Qs <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />
My opinion is that all the direct ports are the same, and will perform the same, if tuned right. Different tuners prefer a certain kit, because they are more familiar with the kit. It all comes down to which one is cheaper, and which one your tuner is comfortable in working with. Obviously, he is going to be able to quickly tune the car if he is familar with the kit.
IMO, the 150 DP shot will be safer than the nozzle after the MAF, because of equal distribution. IF tuned right, by someone with experience, on a dyno, with wideband, I believe it will hold a 200 shot. But better make sure everything is in order, it only takes one time to explode everything.

Where in the hell did that polished intake manifold come from? Thats a work of art.

A good DP setup can run anywhere from $1500 on up. $1500 price would be scavenging for the best prices on everything and doing the install yourself.
The polished unit is available. It is a Holley like mine, but the polished version.

When you say $1500, are you refering to everything, including the stand alone fuel system?
I have not bought anything yet, I'm still scavanging, but so far I have:
DP nitrous kit, with 15 lb bottle $715+ shipping
Stand alone fuel system, prefabed kit $750+ship
DP kit, plumbed intake $1500
Obviously, a big savings by doing it myself.
What would the cost of the Fuel System be, if I pieced everything together myself?
