Default Spraying in 5th gear??

Anybody have any trouble spraying in 5th gear. I am not going to do it all the time. I just want to make a couple of passes with the 150 pills in for a good timeslip and then back it down. I currently have 4:56's with a 28" tall slick so I know I will be well into 5th through the traps. Anyone spraying this combo? Car cut a 1.500 60" on the motor. Think it will hold a 150 shot out of the hole? My guess is I'll need a progressive controller. My goal is to rip off a 9.99 pass w/ a stock shortblock and full weight(3640). Don't think anyone's accomplished that yet, and I probally won't either but I bet I get close. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Spraying in 5th gear is not a problem while doing a 1/4 mile pass. But you may be better off getting a gear that will allow only using fours gears. Thats alot of shifting in a small amount of time.

I want the car set up for the motor, which it is. Majority of the time the car will be on the motor so I don't want to take any gear out of it.

Thank you for the response. I haven't received much of a response from the couple of questions I have asked.
