The life of my motor will depend on your responses!
I AM going to add a TnT F1 kit to my 99 SS. The SS has an ARE stage 2 head/cam. See sig for other mods. I plan to swap my RAM 6130 clutch disk to the RAM 910. I emailed RACETRONIX an they recommended a twin in-tank pump. That pump goes for $499.00. I plan to swap my NGK-TR55s for NGK-TR6 plugs. What are your thoughts on this idea? Will I kill my motor with the F1 kit? I know I will eith have to get the timing dropped or use the RAMCHARGERS timing control box.
I hope it is ok cause that is close to what I am going to run also. Good luck getting much of a response cause I sure haven't the last week or so. I thought racetronix's pump wasn't ready yet? I am going to try the Walboro 340 intank pump. Wish I could be more help. Good luck!
If you have no mistakes/failures and spray a 100 shot (roughly 500-525 rwhp) it should last a while provided you didnt get a flawed set of piston, rods, etc. But I dont think it would take 100 passes at the track. I believe with a 150(roughly 575 rwhp) shot you will be at the level where failure could occur at any time even for a good stock bottom. Lots of things you can do to maximize the longevity of your motor while spraying:
*using an rpm switch and setting it a lil higher..say 3600 rpm instead of 3000.
*testing all hp levels on a dyno with ATAP and wideband. Tune accordingly using Timing tuner or EDIT. Test needs/requirements/ limits for racegas.
*use as many devices available, FPSS, window switch, AF ratio switch, and whatever else you can dream up.
*when in doubt about HP levels and detonation...always opt for race gas. DO NOT CUT CORNERS. DO NOT GET GREEDY. DO NOT GET COMPLACENT.
The last items is usually what does a motor in. Most motors are blown using bad judgement than any type of mechanical failure. Trust me...I know <img border="0" alt="[jester]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_jest.gif" /> I once sprayed a 325 shot....on accident <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

Actually all it did was blow a head gasket. But for a while the car was moving out <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
