Spraying over 200, need input... Ok, I have mods in sig and will be deleting the NX wet kit and adding the NXL at 200 shot, adding a Walbro 340m fuel pump as well, plus rollbar. This shouldnt be a problem with the new fule pump. But, Later this summer/fall would like to rebuild engine to a 346 solid roller, estimated NA HP is 500. What fuel/induction mods will be necessary to spray a 200/300/ 350 shot DP, Pro. Controlled? Thinking ported & milled flat Holley intake( extrude honed or whatever as long as it seals and flows), TB, 4L60E out and in with a 4L80E, and 9" rear.
What about:
injectors, twin intank pumps, upgrade fuel line itself, Edit tuning of course, large dia. Headers and exhaust !cats, Madman or similar beefy TA, what else????

Re: Spraying over 200, need input... Fogger systems require their own seperate fuel systems. Make sure to get a pump that flows at least 250 g/p and has pressure of 19 to 25 psi. The other items like injectors, inline pumps, and such are only important to support the NA horsepower you want. Just make sure the Fogger's pump(s) can supply enough fuel to support the nitrous shot you want.
Go for a nice split solid roller cam. If you are going to stay at stock cubes, I would go with a 236/244//590/612//112 cam. That would be one mean @ss nitrous cam <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Re: Spraying over 200, need input... ls1290, Thanks for input again. "?" for you, why do I need a separate fuel system if I am going to use the NXL system? Cant I just use the twi intank design (or similar) to feed the NA and the N2O? I thought that was the whole point behind the NXL system. TIA.

Re: Spraying over 200, need input... Yes, acutally the new NXL setup is meant to keep the stock fuel system and not a stand alone one.
However, this really will defeat one of the main advantages of direct port. If you're going to add 300+ to a 500 crank horses you're going to need a MONSTER fuel system. I'm talking external pump and all new lines.
A simple low preasure pump, regulator, and tank. On top of that you can put race gas in the little cell, which means safer operation.
I think for a system like the one you're talking about would need some or of computer. I bet the Ramchargers unit would be enough to help you safely use a 300+ shot.
G'lucky with it should be fast as hell.

I have a 422 iron block engine and was intrested in the NXL system.
As there´s no way we will be able to use the NXL setup with a built engine (fuel system will be way to restrictive)I mailed NX and got the info that they will come out with a NXL sytem that will be able to accept a stand allone fuel system.
The current system does not.

Now to waste more money on the current NXL and then 6-7months later build engine, run small shots and sell NXL and purchase the DP that can be setup for stand alone fuel. Damn it. Oh well, I'm the one driving this kitty kat.

Re: Spraying over 200, need input... A friend of mine is running a TNT 200 shot on stock motor(only lid,catback)with stock pump and a progressive controller.The car put out 325hp NA and 600hp Nitrous.
What this means is that the Walbro pump and a NX 200 shot(='s 150 TNT shot) will be no problem on your stock motor for now.

Slowhawk, yeah, I conferred with my shop owner, and we planned on running the 200shot NXL stock internal, but future plans are strengthening the bottom end with a billet crank, rods and forged pistons, throw in a roller cam for more aggresive NA runs and then spray the F' out it. Was wanting to build engine later in the year and then sort out the fuel system to support the N2O, but lookslike I will have to run the NXl, build the engine later, then Buy the newer NXL (if available for separate fuel system) and then run the **** out of it. Just a typical Army guy wanting to make his daily driver a wee bit faster-figure 500+NA and spray 300-400shots on it would be enough. Time to have fun. Thanks. Charlie.
