Default WTF!! Nitrous Freeze!!

I tested out the nitrous kit my friend installed for me today. We didn't fully finish cuz we have the MSD window switch placed and wires ran but not connected. The ground was connected, but that caused the fuel solenoid not to come on, so I bypassed it with another connection to the ground from the relay. Also the FPSS didn't work, so I had to put both connections on one side. Both Nitrous and Fuel solenoid clicked when the WOT switch connected. I decided it was time to do a little test. I had my drags on hoping I would get to go to the track. I did a run without N20 to get the feel of car with drags before I spray. I then did a run spraying did one without then one with and slowly approached a light. All of sudden car shaked a little then "check gauges" light came on and the car shutoff. Not good I'm thinking at this point. I waited a few seconds and tried to turn the car back on and it did with a big rev and then it immediately shut down. I then noticed that the foot pedal was super hard. Now that I think about it the pedal was hard when the car decided to shutoff. I then popped the hood and to my amazement the directflo lid, throttle body, the hose between the lid and throttle was covered in ICE! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> I was standing there in shock then I realized I have my camera in the car. I took a few snaps, but the direct flo lid already defrosted. I will post the pics tomorrow when I get to work. At this point I'm like ok I just screwed up my car then I shut the bottle. Thank God that wasn't true. I waited til the car defrost and it started up but with a loud rev again...
It drove fine and I gunned it and played with it to make sure I didn't screw up anything. Car running like nothing happened. I'm guessing my friend and or the bs bypasses we temporarily did caused the nitrous solenoid to stay open.

Did you blow the line after running and before hooking ot up to the Nitrous solenoid? Check filter also, but that Ice stuff'll happen when a high pressure gas is released like that, good cooling effect huh! Dry kit huh. Good-luck.

I didn't put the filter on yet and it's a wet kit. I need to rewire I think. Something must have held the nitrous solenoid open.

I noticed you said your lid was also frozen. If it is a wet kit,did you plumb the nozzle in the bellow after the mass air? Just making sure you didnt plumb it like a dry kit.Sounds like you may have got a piece of dirt in the solinoid. It just takes a little spec of trash to trash the piston. Then the solinoid will hang open.Your lucky you didnt have a back fire. Its a good thing you gave it time to air out.

Yeah it's after the mass air. I'm thinking maybe something did get in the line. I don't have the filter on yet...picking it up today.
