Default How big to go on Injectors?

I am at around 375 rwhp right now and am working on a 125 dry shot. I have the '98 28.6# injectors, I assume I need bigger ones. How big should I go? Also, is the MSD 43 gph fuel pump good? It says its good up to 500 hp and it's only about $100.

I think SVO 30 lbders would hold you over. Although I would go ahead and opt for the 36 lbders just to have a good margin. With 36lbder I believe you will need to have the PCM programmed for them. The 30lbders some have tweaked in using the MAF translator. As for the pumps..I dont have any experiance with the MSD....But I can tell you a Walbro 255lph will work and they are only a little more at $129

Someone posted a link to this a while back...pretty neat little item. Scales your maff from 10% all the way to 255%. Allows for injector swaps without tuning. Before I purchased it though I would call to make sure it will work.

Exactly.. the SVO 30 lbd injector is 35.25 lb/hr when run at 58 psi. I was taking that in consideration when I made those recommendations. I just like having a lot of room for fuel. If your going to go through the trouble of an injector swap you may as well spend a few extra $$$ for a larger margin with even more room for future expansion. I have SVO 42 lb/hr injectors on mine.

cool...thanks for the help guys. I bid on some svo 30# injectors on ebay, if I get outbid I'll consider going bigger. Will having larger injectors change my gas mileage? It's not important, I'm just curious.

No it wont change your gas milage. With a 36lb SVO you will have to change your PCM cal for them or use something like the mini AFC. That will shorten the open duty cycle at a given RPM/TLA...the same amount of fuel should be sprayed each cylinder event. If you just swap injectors and do nothing else your gas milage would suck because you would be running ungodly rich.
