Default 382 and a 150 shot

I have a few questions about this guy who has a C5 with a 382 and a 150 shot and it is a six speed. It is a basic 382 with 11.0 to 1 comp. and hydraulic cam.It is a full weight C5 and claims to run 11.17 at 131 on the motor and 9.60's to 9.80's on the bottle. He wants to sell the car and I am interested in it and want to know if he is B.Sing,Can any of you Nitrous junkies please tell me what that car should run with the setup and what cars with the similar setup are running? Thanks in advance guys

Nice set-up. I can`t say on the times. I haven`t had mine to the track yet. But you would at least think mid to low 10`s with a set of E/T`s or slicks. Traction is your biggest problem. Thats what I have! Good Luck with your dicision

JustanSS- Unfortunately you're not providing enough info to make an approxiamte assumption. What kinda of tires, is this a stroker or all bore, does that track hook good, has the car been tuned professionally, is it a 150 wet shot or Direct Port (DP), NE idea of cam specs????? That info will get you a lot closer, as well as might try posting in the Drag Racing section. But, from opinion only, I would say that it is very likely. If the said car does not have a rollbar, how does he run 11.17 NA? and rollcage, etc....for under9.99? Good-luck.

I can see those times out of a well set up 382 in a C5. There are some C5's trapping 125 mph with 346's, so 130 with a nicely built 382 is definately possible. Not sure about the nitrous times though, seems a little optimistic.

I would request videos, timeslips, witnesses, etc....Before even thinking about it. Also, remember that buying from a private party doesn't include a warranty. If he's beaten that motor to it's last leg, and it blows the first time you get on it then you are screwed.

The car has no roll cage,CCW racing rims and ET streets. It is just a TNT F1 setup for the nitrous and I dont know the specs on the cam.The car was tuned by MTI but not built by them.It hooks pretty good and cuts in the 1.5-1.6 60 foot range.I just want to know if this is a bunch of BS on a full wieght C5 and a six speed. SW was running high nines with a 422 solid roller and a TNT kit,so it doesnt make sense to me that a 382 STROKER would surpass that
