C5 Nitrous problems
I installed a NX wet system on my 99 C5 with a MSD rpm switch set to activate at 3200 and shut down at 6000. The kit works great on 75hp but if I take it to 100hp it will start missing around 5000 rpm. The computer will only let me run the car a couple of times then it throws a check engine light and goes into reduced power mode. I'm running NGK TR55 gapped at 36 thousands. I'm using the Jets that the kit called for. The only other mods I have to the car is Corsa cat back, Z06 carbon fiber air box, and thats it. I see alot of people on this web site running 100hp shots, what am I doing or not doing to make this happen? Any help would be great. Thanks <img border="0" alt="[bang head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" />
Not a troubleshooting pro, but I would recommend NGK TR6 plugs, more reliable for bigger shots-plus the whole fact you need a step colder plug per 100hp over stock issue. Good-luck.
