Default TNT POWER RING

Has anyone had their power ring machined to be close to the same size as the throttle body? Has anyone had a problem with the power ring sealing? Thanks for any info guys! Andy

No, but it was a P.I.T.A. to get it on the throttle body

after wrestling with the ring when we installed it on bos's car for 2 hrs. we figured out if you just take the tb off and press it on on a bench it slips right on.

Piece of 2"X4" and a few light taps....well not light taps, more like medium swings. But it went on. Very close tolerances on that ring.

Guys, I think I worded it wrong. I'm talking about the inner diameter being smaller than the throttle body, causing a restriction. If you feel it installed against the throttle body you can feel the lip on the power ring! Thanks for the replys. Andy.

To answer the question about TNT being as great as everyone says.....Yes. It blows away my old NOS 5177 dry kit away!!!
My best guess was the NOS kit was actually putting about 80-90 horsepower to the rear wheels with the 125 jets.

I have heard of guys getting 160+ to the rear wheels with the TNT kit. That of course is with a good exhaust and tuning. I am going to Raging Motorsports in May for a dyno tune, and will spray the 150 shot to see how my TNT kit really does on the dyno. With video of course!

My TNT ring went on with a couple of mallet taps. When I am N/A, I noticed no difference in power. The worst part of the whole install was trimming the air-lid due to the shorter distance. TNT rules!

Yea, we tried w/the pieces of wood, we broke the wood...

Finally had to take off the TB, put it on the ground and press the power ring onto it...

Worked perfect like that...

I got a fernco coupling and put the nozzles in that. I've seen others tap their MAF. That power ring looks bad (IMO) and is a BITCH to get on!
