Best cam for NA AND N20?
If I didn't spray, I'd be going with the 227/224 .569/.563 114 LSA cam, but as I understand it, spraying on top of that cam will give dismal results. Is this correct?
They have a 224/227 .563/.569 114 LSA cam that would be great to spray on, but will give me about 30 less HP than the previous cam. I hate to sacrifice that much NA power.
There's a 224/224 .563/.563 112 LSA cam that might be the best choice for me. It'll give about 20 less HP than the 227/224, but should give me the full 150 HP when I spray.
Anyone have the "perfect cam" recommendation for me? I want the most NA power I can get while still getting 150 HP out of my 150 shot. I want a cam that retains my car's current streetability. This car is my daily driver, and I don't think I'd enjoy driving a 111 LSA cam around every day.
By the way, the numbers I'm using for guestimated HP gains came from Thunder Racing. I realize they're only guesses.
TIA,
Jonny

I run the X1 cam from MTI. Very safely tuned and I have great numbers for A4. Car runs very good. Got 135 rwhp on 100 wet shot. Sweet!

Wow, very cool... but I don't get it... everyone tells me that reverse split cams are horrible for nitrous... yet you got 135 rwhp out of a 100 shot with one? I was also told that a 114 lsa cam would be preferred for N20 applications, but it sounds like you're getting great results with it. Anyone else spraying on a reverse split cam that can refute this theory that n20 + reverse split = bad?

I hear the MMS 229 cam is a great cam. I'm in the same boat you are. For this summer that is.

You got that right. I made 380/378 with the mms 229 with hooker lt, no tunning, on a 175 shot it made 565/657. No heads, and stock fuel system.

j/k
224"/230" .587"/.593" 114LSA
And the MMS 229 cam right now.
I know the MMS 229 will fit with my Stage 2 TEA heads milled .015. But I don't know if the FM7 is going to do well with P/V clearance.
